Chicago Trainspotting: Norflolk Southern 4025

Norfolk Southern 4025 

 This loco was originally built in 1995 as NS 8862,  a 4000hp DC powered, HP 9-40C.  After 22 years of service it was rebuilt in 2017.   Now an AC44C6M, it has received the wide nose of a safety cab, AC traction motors boosting it's Horsepower to 4400 and a few other minor upgrades.

I found this beauty facing South in Cicero, IL.  It was  at the head of a line of cars that stretched from further west than where I had photographed CN 4925 , east across Cermak Ave and curving south along the back of a truck yard.  I took the photograph from atop a large berm, hence the cabin-level view.  Unfortunately it started to move just as I reached it and I was only able to get one reasonably good photograph.
