Toy Car Scale Comparison: Matchbox '13 Ford Cargo MB977

Here's a surprise.  This year Matchbox made a 1/87 semi! Unfortunately it was not of a North American prototype, but still it's a nice vehicle.

As you can see it really does appear to be the proper 1/87 that Matchbox claims.  Even the wheels (which are nearly always oversized on matchbox) are darn near correct size and have some of Matchbox's most accurate hubs.  

Now the truth is that "Cab-Over" semis are quite uncommon in America and this particular model appears to be sold only for South America and Eastern Europe. Still, it's a good model and perhaps could be a stand-in for the short cab-over semis that work trailers in train yards of North America.
