Toy Car Scale Comparison "Garbage Truck" MB742
A very practical choice for today's scale comparison.
Though garbage trucks come in various sizes, this one is probably a touch small. Still, it'd be a great choice to put in the alley's or background of your HO city. Technically it's a generic, but the design is spot-on for subject. One small drawback is that the trash container has a plastic roof that looks better on some paint schemes than others. There were even a couple of these released that have actual liveries like "Waste Management".
Unfortunately this hasn't been seen in the Matchbox lineup since 2012 and more recent Matchbox garbage trucks have been silly fantasy vehicles. Still there's always hope for a return of older models in the 2/3 of each year's releases that are older models repainted.
This is a vehicle that I really like. I definitely plan to paint one or more of these in Chicago municipal light blue for use on my layout.
